NIKO KORONIS
Born Thessaloniki, Greek, 1973
A Greek Milan-based Architect and Product Designer, Koronis creates radically expressive minimalist furniture collections, often defined by geometric form. Daring in his use of materials, he undertakes long and delicate production processes to create beautifully crafted pieces of ‘small scale architectural entities.’ With this experimental approach and an encyclopedic design vocabulary, Koronis blurs the boundaries between nature and artifice, material and form, rigidity and play. His work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale and the Triennale di Milano
With Master's degrees in Architecture and Product Design, as well as a Ph.d. in Architecture from the Architectural Association in London, Koronis has taught at universities around the world, including fellowships at Central Saint Martins and the Alvar Aalto Foundation
