Sophie Gelinet and Cedric Gepner are the founders and designers of Paris-based design studio HAOS. The studio strives to create ascetic objects that feel both contemporary and timeless. With the support of French master craftsmen, it draws on traditional materials and savoir-faire to design sculptural shapes with refined and minimalist lines. Gelinet and Gepner oversee each stage of the creation process, from the first sketches to the material sourcing, ensuring that each piece comes to life true to the original intent, with no compromise in the production process
HAOS was founded in 2015, when, driven by a desire for independence and a refusal to compromise, Gelinet and Gepner designed their first lamp. In the collections that have followed, each piece is produced in small quantities, in a slow life approach close to their hearts
