MAXIME BOUTILLIER
Born Bordeaux, France, 1989
A French designer and interior architect, Boutillier is a lover of pure and sculptural aesthetics. Guided by the notion that ‘creation is the art of foretelling one’s past, his contemporary designs are rooted in the rich history of French decorative arts. Carefully considering the intimate relationship between material and shape, Boutillier creates furniture singular in its elegant balance of history and the world to come. Uncompromising in his search for authenticity and excellence, Boutillier is noted for his dedication to noble materials and traditional French craftsmanship
After graduating from Penninghen in Paris, Boutillier worked for Joseph Dirand for seven years. He founded his own studio in 2020

The aesthetics are inspired by the circular movement of waves on the surface of water, reflected in the concentric curvature of the legs in each of these magnificent tables. Likewise, Each tabletop has a soft ovoid shape, recalling pebbles that have been shaped by the lapping of waves
